Greetings Miners!

 Orders Live

Orders opened yesterday so there is still availability to get into batch 1 for anyone interested! Just a reminder, it is the same deal as last time; we are only asking for a 30% deposit and your shipping starts July. Additionally you will get free shipping for batch 2 and have priority to order all our future batches first. Now that our foundations are in place the next batch will be significantly more powerful and please be assured this will not be released until a healthy amount of time after batch 1 has shipped, at least until batch 1 devices are no longer profitable; this is a promise you can hold us to.

 

Engineering News

We are pleased to inform you development continues to progress as anticipated and with good speed:

ASIC:

- Various IPs have been acquired and integrated into the ASIC design

Building blocks required for the physical design of the Scrypt ASIC have been purchased from third parties and integrated into our ASIC

- Placement and routing is almost complete

Placement of standard cells along with RTL and their connectivity is nearing completion

- Package size finalized to 31*31 mm

The silicon package has been identified to meet our power dissipation requirements

- A few register violations are being worked upon

During routing in some paths we have seen some timing violations which we are now working on

- Floorplan finalized with a width of 11.62mm and height of 9.86mm 

Physical planning of the cells with appropriate dimensions has been approximated

- IO ring connection in progress

Input/Output connectivity for the package pinout is in progress

 



Mechanical:

- With the new increased hash rate the enclosure will be 4u in height for both the 16 Mh/s and 90 Mh/s

- We have made the 16Mh/s upgradeable supporting up to 90 Mh/s simply by adding additional cards and a new power supply in case there is demand to upgrade your devices after shipment

- Mechanical design with placement of various components like power supply, mining card, host board etc. in progress

 

Boards:

- Viper interface board fabricated and tested

This board contains various connectors and additional logic required for interfacing with the Scrypt mining board

- Porting of various drivers with ARM controller in progress

Logic present on the Viper interface board needs a driver for its functioning which is being worked upon

- LCD board due next week, will be tested ASAP

LCD board which will be used to display various aspects of mining and will interface with the Viper board is expected next week
